After completing a degree in politics, conference and events seemed like the natural career path to follow. Over the last 11 years, Tim has worked across and managed teams across all verticals in the industry from sales, marketing, logistics and production.
He has predominantly worked in public policy related events; starting at GovNet in 2008, then moving to Government Knowledge in 2011, then to Ocean Media Group to work on and eventually head up their conferences and awards division from 2014 – 2019, before then moving to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as interim Head of Conference Production and now leading the Institution’s multi-channel and format global flagship thought leadership vehicle – the World Built Environment Forum.
In his spare time, he is either spending time with his baby son, watching his beloved Manchester City or trying to test himself in endurance events. He has cycled from London to Paris solo, in 21 hours, completed 4 marathons and is currently planning to cycle unsupported from Lands End to John O’Groats in 5 days.
